LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA - Carole King joined recording artists representing all genres of pop music in Sacramento, California on Wednesday (January 23, 2002) to support Senate bill 1246. The bill would eradicate a subsection of the California Labor Code which specifically excludes recording artists from protections offered to everyone else in the state.

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA - Radio & Records, the music industry's most prestigious radio trade publication, published their first radio play charts for 2002, the week of January 7th.

Their Adult Contemporary chart listed Carole King's "Love Makes The World" charting at #27* (with a bullet!). Chart numbers indicate the number of times that stations in each format play specific records. "Love Makes The World" was heard nationally by over 2.5 million listeners weekly.

LOS ANGELES, CA - The single, "Love For Christmas", a special Christmas song written by Carole King and Carole Bayer Sager and performed by Carole King was sent to radio stations around the country and was also made available as an e-card on our website during the 2002 Christmas season. The response from listeners both on and offline has been tremendous! It was an unexpected holiday treat for all who appreciate Carole's music.
