Los Angeles, CA - Troubadours, a documentary chronicling the California singer/songwriter movement in the '70's, premiered in March 2011 on the award-winning series American Masters on PBS. Troubadours was among the films selected for the U.S. Documentary Competition at the 2011 Sundance Film Festival and received the coveted Audience Choice Award. Released by Concord Music Group, the documentary was produced by Eddie Schmidt and directed by Morgan Neville of Tremolo Productions.

The award-winning documentary film, Troubadours: Carole King, James Taylor, and the Rise of the Singer-Songwriter , was released March 1, 2011 on DVD/CD. The film recounts the rise of Taylor and King, as well as many other performers including Steve Martin, Jackson Browne, David Crosby, Roger McGuinn, Bonnie Raitt, Eagles, Joni Mitchell, Elton John to name a few.
