KETCHUM, IDAHO - Carole King performed for a special Castle Rock Firefighters Benefit Concert on Saturday, September 29, 2007 in downtown Ketchum, Idaho. The concert was the centerpiece of a KICK ASH BASH weekend full of music and festivities, which was an opportunity for the community to express gratitude for the efforts of the 1600+ firefighters who bravely brought the recent 48,520 acre Castle Rock fire.

FLUSHING, NY - The USTA announced that the Women's Singles Tennis Final of the 2007 U.S. Open featured Grammy award winning performer and songwriter Carole King on Saturday, September 8, 2007. The legendary artist sang "God Bless America" to open the prime time women's final. She was accompanied by the Songs of Solomon Inspirational Ensemble. The Songs of Solomon was founded in 2001 as an answer to young people from all ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds who desired to express their artistic self through all forms of inspirational music.
