“What the World Needs Now is Love” was originally written by Bacharach with original lyrics by Hal David. The benefit recording is executive produced by Rudetsky, Wesley and Dean and produced by Michael J. Moritz Jr. and Michael Croiter. It has music direction by Rudetsky, orchestrations by Rudetsky and Cameron Moncur, and vocal arrangements by Michael McElroy.

The Alliance for the Wild Rockies proposal to designate roadless areas in the western United States as wilderness has been introduced in the U.S. Senate for the first time after more than two decades of stalling in the U.S. House.  It is known as NREPA, the Northern Rockies Ecosystem Protection Act and Carole King has worked tirelessly on it for decades.

The 70th Annual Tony Awards 2016 is night to celebrate musical theater.  The producers of the show stated that the show would be dedicated to the victims of the tragic shooting in Orlando. The broadcast began with a simple, eloquent message delivered by host James Corden. Several recipients and presenters also included heartfelt words in their speeches.
