Carole King Wows Australia - Next Stop, New Zealand

SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA  - Carole King triumphantly ended the Australian leg of her 2006 tour on November 30th with another standing ovation at the Sydney Entertainment Centre. The concert had the six-thousand-strong audience in full voice and was a wonderful end to what has been an incredibly successful tour to date.

Sales of The Living Room Tour CD have been strong throughout the tour. In fact, the album has entered the ARIA (Australian Record Industry Association) chart at #64 and is expected to rise higher next week.

The Australian audiences were also taken to both Rudy Guess and Gary "Gazza" Burr (as he is affectionally been called) with many inquires about their solo records. More information about them can both be found online at and

Press reviews continue to be outstanding, as noted:

"Her integrity is abundantly clear in candid lyrics, a disarmingly unaffected vocal quality and conversation with audiences that radiates dignity, humility, empathy and a warm sense of humour."
                The Australian, November 19, 2006

"The warmth and humility of her patter bought the crowd closer to her performance and the mood was right for a sing-along"
The Melbourne Age, November 20, 2006

"If you were at this once-in-a-lifetime concert during King's first Australian tour, you probably won't have come down yet. If you weren’t there, read on and weep.
                West Australian, November 21, 2006

"Great songs and the memories wrapped up in them endure…she performed with such verve and natural charm."
Brisbane Courier Mail, November 27, 2006

The tour made it's way to New Zealand with a stop in Auckland on 2 December and wound up in Christchurch on the 4th. We're pleased to say that talks have begun with the Australian promoter for a future return visit Down Under.
