WASHINGTON, DC - Carole King testified May 5th, in support of the Northern Rockies Ecosystem Protection Act (NREPA) at the subcommittee hearing.

In February 2009, NREPA was introduced into Congress as H.R. 980. Congresswoman Carolyn Maloney (D-NY) is the lead sponsor with Congressman Raúl Grijalva (D-AZ). Congresswoman Maloney is the Chair of the Joint Economic Committee. Congressman Grijalva is the Chair of the Subcommittee on National Parks, Forests, and Public Lands of the House Natural Resources Committee.
