Carole King and James Taylor took the concert stage live on Friday, June 18 in the Plaza on "Today" show's Toyota Concert Series, as the "Troubadour Reunion" tour reached the Big Apple. They performed several songs from their highly acclaimed world tour, currently ranked Billboard's #1 Hot Tour and playing to sold out houses throughout North America (including Madison Square Garden, earlier in the week). Performing with them were bandmates Russ Kunkel, Leland Sklar, Danny "Kootch" Kortchmar and Robbie Kondor along with vocalists Arnold McCuller, Andrea Zonn and Kate Markowitz.

Carole has been a frequent guest on Morning Joe and that includes two recent appearances in 2011. In June, Carole joined Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski to discuss issues related to the environment and America's wild horses and burros. She explained the continuing problems associated with roundups and the enormous expense to American taxpayers. Carole also spoke briefly about the highly successful Troubadour Reunion tour of 2010.
