Carole King Presents 2016 Tony Award For Best Original Score To Hamilton's Lin-Manuel Miranda
The 70th Annual Tony Awards 2016 is night to celebrate musical theater. The producers of the show stated that the show would be dedicated to the victims of the tragic shooting in Orlando. The broadcast began with a simple, eloquent message delivered by host James Corden. Several recipients and presenters also included heartfelt words in their speeches.
The American Theater Wing’s Tony Awards recognizes achievement in Broadway productions and Carole King was invited to join the prestigious list of presenters. The ceremony returned to the Beacon Theatre in New York City after three years at Radio City Music Hall and was broadcast live by CBS.

"Beautiful: The Carole King Musical" received seven nominations and two Tony Awards in 2014 and the Original Cast Recording of "Beautiful" won a Grammy in 2015 for Best Musical Theater Album.
The Broadway production has broken every box office record at the theatre, recently becoming the highest grossing show in the venue’s history.
The London production of "Beautiful" received eight nominations and won two Olivier Awards in 2015.
The North American touring cast of "Beautiful" is garnering critical acclaim as it wows audiences across the country.
