BALTIMORE, MD – Legendary songwriter-singer Carole King joined Garrison Keillor Saturday, October 13, 2007 in Baltimore as he took A Prairie Home Companion on the road. The weekly live radio variety show, which was broadcast live from 5 to 7pm Central Time from the Hippodrome Theater, features a host of singers, musicians and radio talent. Carole performed several songs and was interviewed by Garrison Keillor.

The show has a long history, existing in a similar form as far back as 1974, and borrowing the name from a radio program in existence in 1969. The show usually originates from the Fitzgerald Theater in St. Paul, Minnesota, although it is frequently taken on the road.
